We all know that processed cheese like Velvetta won’t make us live forever but it adds so much to the creamy texture of your dish. Just delicious….Moderation!
I am so making this for my boys! Also i love the fact that it's a small amount, pie size instead of a ginormous casserole recipe. Perfect for our family of four. Gracias😋🔥🔥!!
Love the way you cook. You are one of the few chefs I can say by cooking their recipes i feel has truly made me a better cook. The way you layer flavors with simple every day ingredients has been a revelation to me!
Yummmmmm I have some leftover hotdogs from chili dogs last night and was planning on making mac n cheese to go with, actually that’s all I want. This looks amazing. Mouth watering. 😛
Now that is what I think of when I think "mac and cheese". Super creamy, thick but not too thick, saucy, with a nice topping. Unfortunately I am lactose intolerant so I don't eat it often (and never without pills!) but I'm definitely bookmarking this recipe! A little seasoned breadcrumb topping would be great on this too.
I love to use cream cheese also in the bearnaise sauce, makes it real creamy and smooth also. No calories or cholesterol here! Gonna use this recipe soon, TY.
I made this for the first time tonight for my family. We devoured it like we haven’t eaten anything for weeks! I didn’t have seasonal salt blend, so I just used seasonal salt. I didn’t add chipotle sauce because of acid reflux. Still full of flavors without it. Thank you for sharing this!
Fried chopped onion and bacon added gives a different dimension. And sliced tomato on top then covered with breadcrumbs mixed with extra cheese more delicious.
The creaminess of velveeta is mainly from the sodium citrate. Add a bit of that to ANY cheese and it will be the same creamy texture. The amount in velveeta is more than enough to make the cheese product in the velveeta itself creamy, which is why you don't need to add extra for the other kinds of cheese in this that don't have it normally. Only problem is, sodium citrate by itself isn't really a thing you can just find at a normal grocery store. Amazon has it, I believe.
That or in "American cheese" slices. Whenever I need a quick cheese sauce for like....hamburger helper kinda stuff I just throw in a splash of half and half with a slice of American in the microwave and stir till it dissolves. Add spices, pile in the pasta dish that needs adulteration, and voila
does that dish say something like "want some pie"? the last two characters of the statement i think says "sum pi" and i think square root of negative one is one, but i cant figure out what two cubed means.
The square root of -1 is imaginary number i. 8 is 8. the sigma notation is usually a summation with a couple of arguments, but here it probably just means "sum", or "some" (alternatively, all) and then pi at the end. "I ate some pie", or as I'm inclined to believe because I've seen it in other places, "I ate all the pie"

At 4 min 9 sec: The pie pan has the following: √-1 2^3 Σπ
How clever! It stands for "i 8 sum pi" or "I ate some pie"! 🤣

P.S. What Brand/Kind of pan did you use under your Pie Dish? I know some pans warp under the Broiler. ThnQ 😚.

Does the chicken bouillon in pasta water make a difference as opposed to just salt? I like the idea…
😋👍
I add some beer to my cheese sauce another added complimentary flavor
I miss Velveeta. i've moved to a country that doesnt have it in its stores :( Well, at least not the Velveeta cheese.
My younger boy practically lives on macaroni.
does that dish say something like "want some pie"? the last two characters of the statement i think says "sum pi" and i think square root of negative one is one, but i cant figure out what two cubed means.
nevermind it means "i ate some pie"
The moment I added the heavy cream it broke. Not sure I'd try again since I couldn't salvage this
Mac and cheese is so popular in the south than now people in the northeast states have heard about it
Ok, but what is that equation at the bottom of your dish?
The square root of -1 is imaginary number i. 8 is 8. the sigma notation is usually a summation with a couple of arguments, but here it probably just means "sum", or "some" (alternatively, all) and then pi at the end.
"I ate some pie", or as I'm inclined to believe because I've seen it in other places, "I ate all the pie"
You lost me when you said Velveeta 😮 I never used
It's just baked mac and cheese. It's a staple in many black American homes.
It's boxed mac and cheese, for goodness sake. She's talking like she made some authentic dish, lol.
It isn’t Kraft. That’s boxed Mac and cheese.
It's baked mac and cheese you tarte.
